Do you charge for an estimate?

No, unless outside of our 30-mile radius from Rexburg, Rigby or Idaho Falls. (This does not involve any form of diagnosis for repair.)

How much do you charge for a service call?

Service calls start at $140 per hour.

Do you charge a dispatch fee?

Yes, we do. This is separate from the travel fee and is charged regardless of distance.

Do you charge travel?

Yes, outside of a 30-mile radius from our shop in Rigby. Travel is a separate charge from the dispatch fee and it will be on top of the dispatch and diagnostic fee.

Do you work on stoppages/blockages?

Yes.

What is the difference between a snake and a jetter?

A. Snakes have a long coil that drills through an obstruction.
B. Hydro-jetters use powerful blasts of water to remove obstructions and build-up.

How long do standard water heaters last?

On average 8 – 10 years.

Why am I only getting 5 minutes of hot water?

Tank could be full of sediment reducing the amount of water in the tank.

What brand(s) do you install?

Unless the customer has a preference, we install Rheem.

What causes a faucet to leak?

The most common is a corroded gasket, O-ring, or valve.

Do you recommend starting with the snake or jetter?

We start with the snake.

What are the options for water heaters?

Tanked, Tankless, Boilers.

Can sediment be removed from a water heater?

Depends on how much is built up in the tank.

What should I know before I call for an appointment?

What size your water heater is, and if it is gas or electric.

What is your hourly rate?

We charge a $45 dispatch fee and a $95 diagnostic fee, after which our technicians will give you the price to repair the unit.

Why does my furnace keep shutting down?

A: Try checking your filter, if it’s dirty, replace it.

Why is my AC not cooling?

Your refrigerant could be low and needs to be checked by an HVAC technician.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes, on change outs or new installs, this is not for diagnostic purposes.

Why is my furnace blowing cold air?

Check and make sure your thermostat has good batteries.

 

What is the average lifespan for an HVAC system?

On average 12 – 20 years, depending on maintenance schedule.
